I wrote to Joe the other day over text message. Now I don't have a phone because my stupid phone died. This is life. This is what life smells like. My point is that I don't know if Joe wrote back or not because my phone got wet inside my pocket during a rainstorm and died. I don't know if anyone has tried to contact me. Not having a phone is like floating in something thick. Here's Joe's stacked part from St. Losers edited real nicely by Gabe Kehoe.
To celebrate the last or first day of last or this week, several of us braved the heat of this previous Sunday wearing hats. Nick still to this day refuses to wear a hat because he feels it will clash with his mustache, which is perfect, which I can totally understand.
Dan did this first try.
Nick still to this day refuses to "try beer" because he fears it will "make [him] even more frail than [he] already is," and have you seen his wrist? Whoa. Gnar.
Anders was in town!
Tim was filming for Farecard 2 or Two or Too. (JP Morgan Chase Bank is hiring.)
Pretty heavy 2 or two or too. (edit: I forgot to mention just now the insanity that Zack threw upon the Fulton street and ledge both, mostly going the way that made his feet swap places, which will hopefully all appear herein.)
Old ledge new trick couple of solid dudes making you know magic.
Eliminating any doubt that we are, occasionally anyway, out here. Here's David with a woody, Jackson with a hoe, and Zack with a firm grip. I did not mean for any of this to be even remotely sexual but heyo, for real, we out here. Video coming ______!!!
I made it into the The Skateboard Magazine's website with my favorite boy. More here from Mr Price. Mike Hill is one amazing fellow, thanks for letting us into your world for one night. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Longtime Chicago-based artist/designer Cody Hudson has a featured interview in this month's Brianfloss section in TWS. Cody was riding a skateboard before most of you kiddies were even born. Way to go!
World premiere exclusive and so on! A new vid cobbling together some Chicago summer, St. Louis winter, and Perryville just recently. Plus some of what kids might call "filler," but only if they want to lose some teeth. Enjoy, pals.
While we continue to slag on footage for ourselves, we should recall our generosity elsewhere. Because these days we have to care for ourselves. We have to treat ourselves well and appreciate what we contribute even if what we contribute doesn't always, in dark moments, feel like enough.
Such Luck Tim's farecard video has a whole Nick P part and a Dudelife montage starting at 15:35. I don't know where the Nick P part is because he is impossible to track. He's a suburban in a Ford truck. He's gone. He moves slowly but steadily and we miss Nick already. Nick is dead to us, but only partially so. Nick will rise again. Nick. Nicholas.
First public access skate video premiere? I don't know, but there is a full on Dude Life montage. It's sick.
